 PRESENTED BY CARR & CARR

OCTOBER 20-21, 2007

Public Announcement - August 10, 2007 - Ponca City, Ok.

Oklahoma Anglers Unlimited (OAU) announced today that it would be hosting the OAU State Championship, Presented by Carr &Carr, October 20-21 on Lake Eufaula.

This year’s event will be expanded over last years to include a live auction on site for the public on a range of fishing and outdoors products.

The dates as stated will be Oct 20-21, 2007 on Oklahoma’s Lake Eufaula.

Launch and weigh-in location will be Nichols Point facility in Eufaula Cove.

The event will be a 90% payback to the field.

Plans call for keeping that same weekend each year so everyone can plan for it.

A portion of any proceeds from the event will be placed into the OAU endowment fund to help fund projects of interest to Oklahoma anglers.

The money raised at the 2006 OAU State Championship, Presented by Carr & Carr held on Grand Lake last year, went as a donation to help fund the new improvements to the facility on Eufaula’s Nichols point launch area. Specifically to supply re-bar and purchase concrete to put a floor in the lakeside weigh-in pavilion there so anglers and their families did not have to wade through mud and dirt to use the facility.

OAU announced last year this annual event would be hosted the weekend before the opening of muzzle-loading season each year as a static date in an effort to avoid as many conflicts as possible. No doubt with the tournament schedules we are lucky enough to have here in Oklahoma, the OAU State Championship, presented by Carr &Carr will likely “fall on top” of someone’s event. We apologize for that in advance, but there simply is not enough weekends left to choose from.

We hope to see you all at Eufaula, come on out for some competition, some fun and help support fishing in Oklahoma. Contact any OAU director for more info.
