Just a quick note to say thanks for the great trip to Lake Murray. As a newcomer to Oklahoma, I needed to spend some time on the water learning my way around. As a member of the Air Force, I don't have a lot of extra time these days to spend fumbling my way around new water. A guided trip with you was just the ticket. I now have enough knowledge of the lake and tactics for Oklahoma smallmouth that I can head out to the lake with confidence to catch my "trophy" and still make it home in time for my sons' baseball games. Even though weather conditions were tough, it was evident that we were catching more fish that day than any of the other anglers on the water. Without your expert services, I would have been one of those other poor guys going all day without a bite. I really liked the part where you let me catch all the fish in the morning! I'm sure you were just toying with me! Your custom baits and knowledge of the conditions made all the difference in the world. My Dad is coming in town next week. With what you taught me, I'll be able to put him on fish all day (and maintain his overly inflated opinion of my skill as a fisherman). Let's just let that part be our little secret shall we?

When the recently retired doctor from Bay Town Texas left his driveway in South Oklahoma City to drive to Lake Murray and fish with long time guide, Bob Myers, he had no idea that anyone could catch 85 small mouths in one day, but they did! On Tuesday, March 30th, Dr. Roy Dowdell and fishing partner Larry Kaser from Oklahoma City caught 85 small mouth while fishing on beautiful Lake Murray. With South winds at 15 to 25 and the fish on the beds, the anglers managed to catch fish after fish on their ultra light tackle while using some of Bob s favorite baits. It didn t take long for the doctor to recognize the fact that Bob Myers knew every rock and rock ledge on the lake as he maneuvered the boat from one location to the other, often times giving his guided customers the first shot at the spawning fish.

As we said our good byes and took a few photos on the boat ramp, the 74 year old retired family physician told Bob Myers to call him if the fish every started biting and he would come back!

Just wanted to say thanks for the great trip on Lake Murray on May 4th. We caught over 70 smallmouth bass on our first ever day of fishing for this great fighting fish. The service was very friendly and the knowledge we gained invaluable. Thanks again for a great day. Looking forward to another trip soon.
