Last
Thursday and Friday while fishing on McGee Creek, we didn't get
many bites, but what bites we did get were quality fish. We were
able to catch 15 Bass, the smallest being 4 lbs. with 7 of the
Largemouth Bass being over the 22" slot. These 7 Bass weighed
between 6 lb 1oz and 8 lb 1oz.
We were fishing the Terminator jig slowly
in 8' to 13' of water because of the reaction of the Bass to the weather and the
changing water level.
We got about 20 bites and landed
15 of those fish, having to set the hook quickly before the Bass
would spit the jig back out.
The depth we have been fishing has also been
varying according to the fronts moving through and the water
coming up. Remember that you have to adjust the lure presentation
and depth according to the weather conditions and what the water
level is doing.
