2003 Jack Houston Memorial FOCAS Tournament

Entries will be accepted until 8:30 PM Friday night for the 2003 Jack Houston Memorial FOCAS Tournament which will be held on October 18, 2003 on Lake Tenkiller.

Entry forms may be picked up at any Jimmy Houston Marine location in Oklahoma or Arkansas or at the Jimmy Houston Outdoors Store in Park Hill, Oklahoma. You may also request an entry form by calling 918-457-5115.

Entry fee is $200 per two man team. A pre-tournament meeting will be held on Friday, October 17 at 8:30 p.m. at Jimmy Houston Outdoors Store. This is also the cut-off time for acceptance of entries.

Take-off position is determined by the order of entry.

This year there will be a new format in giving away the Ranger and Tracker boats with Mercury Motors, MinnKota Trolling Motors, Delco Batteries and Humminbird Electronics. Teams will be drawn as in the past but will "spin to win" components of the boat. The first team to "build" the boat is the winner of that boat. There will be a possibility that a team spin a "switch" and a new team take their place.

Cash and/or merchandise will be awarded through 50th place. First prize is $2,500 cash plus merchandise, second prize is $700 cash plus merchandise, third prize is $300 cash plus merchandise. Fourth through thirtieth place will receive $200 cash plus merchandise. Thirty-first through fiftieth will receive merchandise.

The tournament is sponsored by the Lake Tenkiller Chapter of the Fellowship Of Christian Anglers Society (F.O.C.A.S.) and is the organizations only fundraiser.

Proceeds from the 20021 tournament provided funded the Christmas project for families in need; funds the FOCAS Kid’s Day Fishing Clinic; the Pastor’s Day Fishing Tournament.

The Lake Tenkiller Chapter events are organized and worked exclusively by volunteers from the local area. For more information about FOCAS, forming a chapter in your community or church, or volunteering for one the events, call 457-5115 during regular business hours.
