
Ross and Hoaglon Win at Lake Hudson

Tulsa Metro Bass League held its first regular season tournament of the year "The Gene Larew and Waste Connections Open" this past Saturday, April 5 at Lake Hudson out of Snowdale ramp. Scott Ross and Jason Hoaglon, both of Claremore, out-fished 56 other teams to take First Place with one of six vie-fish limits weighed-in. At 16.15 lbs. Scott and Jason took home $670 for their win and an additional $240 Big Bass prize money for their anchor fish of 6.45 lbs. |

In Second Place, worth $445, Blake Ellison and Doug Detherow, both of Inola, brought another limit to the scales weighing-in at 14.74 lbs. |

Matt and Leslie Carroll |
The husband and wife fishing team of Matt and Leslie Carroll, and Tulsa Metro Anglers of the Year in 2002, were Third with their limit of 12.93 lbs. Matt and Leslie, of Tulsa, took home $268. |

the top five teams were Lloyd Calvert of Coweta and Mike Stites of Adair
(five bass, 12.71 lbs, $200); and Robb Schwarts of Tulsa and Chuck Knight
of Skiatook (three bass, 11.31 lbs, $167). This tournament drew 58 boats, two boats were scratched, for a total of 56 teams fishing, including staff. Six limits were brought to the scales and 42 teams caught a total of 103 fish. Total weight for the day was 257.57 lbs, a 2.5 lb per fish average. The next Tulsa Metro Bass League tournament "The Terminator Open" will be held on Saturday, May 17th at Lake Eufaula out of Eufaula Cove. The pre-tournament meeting will be held on Thursday, May 15th at 6:00pm at Okiebug in Tulsa. Entries received prior to that time will be placed in the drawing for boat position. Entries received after the drawing will be placed at the end of the field, but will be required to weigh in with the first flight.
