Do you have questions regarding the
status of your favorite northeastern Oklahoma lake or reservoir? How
about a question for a representative of the Oklahoma Department of
Wildlife Conservation (ODWC), the Oklahoma Anglers Unlimited (OAU)
or the Oklahoma Bass Federation? Don’t miss this opportunity to get
your questions answered at a Free Public Forum held in conjunction
with the Citgo BASS Federation Championship Tournament.
The Forum is scheduled to start promptly
at 12 noon and run until 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 23rd
and will be held at the Citgo BASS Federation Championship
Tournament weigh-in tent located at the Oklahoma Aquarium, 300
Aquarium Dr., Jenks, OK 74037. Directions to the Aquarium are
provided below.
The free public forum will be
facilitated by Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation
personnel and is co-hosted by the Oklahoma Bass Federation and the
Oklahoma Anglers Unlimited. Guest speakers from the ODWC include Jim
Burroughs, Northeast Regional Supervisor, biologists Cliff Sager
(Grand, Hudson and Fort Gibson), Gary Petterson (Tenkiller and the
Navigational Channel), Brent Gordon (Tulsa area lakes including
Keystone), and Bill Wentroth (north central Oklahoma including
Skiatook). Kim Erickson, Chief of Fisheries or Barry Bolton, Asst.
Chief of Fisheries is scheduled to attend.
Topics will include pertinent fisheries
related data from Tulsa and northeastern Oklahoma area lakes, 2003
Tournament Statistics, and the status of Largemouth Bass Virus (LMBV).
ODWC personnel will outline the department’s action plans for 2004
and beyond. Time will be allotted for an open question and answer
session for fisheries biologists, Oklahoma Bass Federation
representatives and OAU volunteers to respond to your concerns.

Directions to the
Oklahoma Aquarium:
From the Creek Turnpike: Take the Peoria/Elm exit, turn north, go
one block to Aquarium Drive (101st), and turn right. Take Aquarium
Drive east to the river and you will drive right to the Oklahoma
Aquarium Entrance.
From Highway 75: Take
the Jenks Main Street exit and go east to the 9th Street light. Turn
left on 9th Street, turn right at the marquee sign and drive under
the bridge to the Oklahoma Aquarium.
From I-44/Riverside:
Take Riverside Drive south to 96th Street. Turn right onto 96th
street and right again at the 9th Street light to the Oklahoma
Aquarium Entrance.
