Oklahoma Bass Tournaments annual report 2003

This year's lakes were ranked in a minimum of 10 reports were received. 25 lakes were ranked into 21 places. Hugo topped the tournament list with the highest winning weight, the highest of success and the 2nd highest number of bass caught per day. Broken Bow and Okemah tied for 2nd place, Broken Bow topped the list for bass per day while Okemah had the highest average weight per bass.

Sardis, Texoma and Greenleaf were 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively. The second set consisted of Eucha in 6th, McGee Creek in 7th, Pine Creek and Tenkiller tied for 8th followed by Thunderbird and Ellsworth to round out the top 10 places.

The largest bass reported this year weighed 9.40 lbs from Broken Bow. Caught during a Leflore Co. bass tournament. Numbers of bass over 5 lbs were up 9% compared to last year. However bass of 8 lbs or larger were down 50 %.

Average weight per bass caught in tournaments = 2.1

Average first place weight in 2003 = 10.2 per stringer

Average number of bass over 5 lbs caught during OK tournaments = 0.5
